Cooler Classrooms for Booragoon Primary School
09 March 2026
Great news for the Booragoon Primary School community.
Students and teachers are now learning in cooler classrooms following a $2.3 million air-conditioning upgrade delivered through the Cook Labor Government’s Cool the Schools program.
The upgrade has installed modern air-conditioning across the school, helping keep classrooms comfortable during the hotter months and improving conditions for students and staff.
I recently visited Booragoon Primary School with Education Minister Sabine Winton to see the new units in action. It was fantastic to see the systems already making a difference in classrooms.
Cooler classrooms mean students can focus on learning and teachers have better conditions to do their work.
This investment also builds on other support for the school, including $35,000 for new outdoor seating and shade, improving outdoor spaces used by students during recess and lunch.
Delivering practical improvements like this helps ensure Booragoon Primary School students have comfortable, well-equipped places to learn.
