Funding is being provided to different schools across the State as part of the Schools Clean Energy Technology Fund. The McGowan Labour Government is dedicated to supporting programmes that lessen the environmental impact that schools have and educate students about climate action.

Applecross Senior High School was one of the schools to receive solar panels. The initiative is apart of the $44.6 million dollar fund to reduce the carbon footprint left by schools. Steps like these act to educate students on renewable energy while decreasing school energy bills.

The new solar panels will help these local schools to save on their power bills, lower carbon emissions, transition towards a cleaner energy future and teach local kids about renewable technologies.

Applecross Senior High School is amongst 96 other schools across WA who will receive solar panels under the latest round of the Schools Clean Energy Technology Fund.
