Schools and community groups in Bateman are the big winners of this year’s 2021-22 State Budget.

Classrooms at Melville, Richmond, Brentwood, Kardinya and Winthrop primary schools will be converted into science labs.

Melville Senior High School will also have a new gym and STEM facilities worth $9 million.

Melville Senior High School’s aviation program is one of WA’s premier education programs which support pathways into aviation, engineering and aerospace,” she said.

It’s terrific to see the State Government is committed to improving training opportunities for these students.

Melville Senior High School student Stella Simes said science had been a male-dominated subject but there were many opportunities for females as well.

Everyone is capable of achieving anything if you put your mind to it,” she said.
