The Cost of Living rebate - available exclusively to WA Seniors Card members - provides vital funds directly to our seniors, to assist with cost of living pressures.

Western Australian Seniors Card members continue to have access to the most valuable range of State Government concessions and rebates in Australia, including free off-peak public transport, concessions on local government rates and water service charges, and the reinstated $400 Safety and Security rebate.

This $26 million Cost of Living rebate package will provide much needed cash assistance to WA seniors.

More than 310,000 Western Australian seniors will receive extra cash in their bank accounts this month, thanks to the State Government's Cost of Living rebate.

WA Seniors Card members will share in almost $26 million in direct financial assistance, with singles receiving a one-off payment of $95.69, and couples getting $143.50.

The Cost of Living rebate was first launched in 2009, and has provided over $365 million in assistance to WA seniors, with annual payments helping to ease the financial strain of daily living expenses.

The WA Seniors Card program provides members across the State with access to an average annual of $650 in total value each year, and up to $2000 annually for the majority of seniors who also hold a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card, or Pensioner Concession Card.

Over 800 businesses continue to support the senior community by offering a discount in response to the cost of living. The hard copy WA Seniors Card 2022-23 Discount Directory was also released this month to members.

Applications for the free WA Seniors Card can be made by Australian citizens or permanent residents aged over 64, who reside in WA and work less than 25 hours a week in paid employment.
